Registration for the 

NC Guardianship Association 2025 Conference is now open!

 

Join us at Carolina Beach, April 23-25, for this year’s "Changing Tides of Guardianship" NCGA conference!

You will not want to miss the pre-conference workshop, “Calming Rough Seas,” where expert Ronna Caras will share strategies to manage anger, prevent escalation, and build productive relationships.

We’re excited to welcome national experts, including Jonathan Martinis on supportive decision-making, Erica Costello on the healthcare-to-guardianship pipeline, and NGA president-elect Amy Bryant on oversight and monitoring. We are also excited to have Professor Hugh Lee on decision-making capacity and Timothy Heinle on the evolving role of the GAL.

Additional sessions offer the opportunity to learn about restoration practices from a panel of experts, listen to clerks discuss how they are changing practice to comply with new laws, and gain skills in how to best document data and navigate ethical dilemmas.   Exchange ideas and network with colleagues at Wednesday’s welcome party and Thursday’s luncheon to celebrate the continued work of guardianship!
